Position Summary: The Unit Resource Assistant for Mary Bridge inpatient units is a team member working under the direction of the Assistant Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse for both the Pediatric Medical Surgical Units and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This position is responsible for providing support to the units by setting up patient rooms with standardized equipment and supplies following terminal cleaning, thoroughly cleaning, maintaining, and properly storing all equipment removed from patient rooms; transporting specimens to the lab; retrieving blood products from Transfusion Services; and obtaining equipment and needed supplies. This position requires a service-oriented individual who can work autonomously with clinical staff to ensure that patient rooms are ready in a timely fashion and that all necessary equipment is available in each patient room, be motivated with the ability to prioritize assignments, utilize sound judgment, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
Minimum Requirements: Recent experience in a health care environment.
Education/Licenses/Certifications: High School graduate or equivalent preferred Certified as a Nurse Assistant preferred
