At AMGA we’re paving the way for medical groups and integrated systems of care to deliver the next level of high-performance health. Our foundation has an opening for a Senior Manager, National Health Campaigns reporting to the Senior Director, National Health Campaigns. 

AMGA Foundation recently launched Rise to Immunize™, a four-year national campaign that aims to increase routine adult immunizations. This initiative engages medical groups, health systems, partners, and sponsors to achieve the collective goal of 25 million administered immunizations by 2025. A successful Senior Manager will manage strategy and execution of campaign tactics to mobilize and empower participating AMGA member organizations nationwide to improve vaccination rates.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with great communications and project management skills and a knowledge of health care. The ideal candidate also will display superb writing skills; be resourceful, proactive, and organized; and have experience successfully working across teams, with junior staff, and with external stakeholders.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manages fulfillment of sponsor benefits and helps maintain sponsor relations, with oversight from Senior Director and in coordination with the Executive Director of the Foundation.
• Leads high-priority campaign partnerships, including recruitment and development of MOUs as well as ongoing collaboration and partnership activities. Leverages partner relationships to create campaign offerings that increase Rise to Immunize™ reach and impact.
• Spearheads the Rise to Immunize™ annual observance (e.g., National Day of Action) for the campaign to engage campaign participants, partners, and sponsors. Identifies key activities and guides implementation with support from staff.
• Manages data and evaluation components of the campaign, including troubleshooting data submission or portal issues, review of quarterly data communications to members, identification of annual award winners, and development of annual survey.
• Leads the National Advisory Committee (NAC). Guides priorities, manages development of quarterly webinars, and serves as main point of contact for NAC communications.
• Develops strategic plans, messaging, and timelines for components of the Rise to Immunize™ campaign—such as campaign recruitment and engagement activities—and oversees implementation with support from staff as needed.
• Spearheads development of campaign materials (e.g., resources for providers, recruitment materials, website content, social media content, campaign communications) including writing, design, and production. Reviews draft materials developed by junior staff members.
• Engages AMGA members on a regular basis, and serves as a key point of contact for campaign participants.
• Supervises Coordinator of National Health Campaigns and collaborates with other members of team and across AMGA departments.
• Manages special projects as developed under the campaign.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a communications or health-related field required.
• 5-8 years of experience managing communications or strategic projects for a national healthcare organization, government agency, pharmaceutical company or PR firm.
• Experience serving as a direct supervisor to junior staff.
• Experience in a health-related field or working for an Association strongly preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to analyze, think critically and stay organized amidst change. Superb writing skills are required.
• Project management skills including but not limited to an ability to create and meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks and projects, and document and communicate success.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a complex and fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
