The Vice President of Clinical Services shall have full responsibility for the direct oversight of the regional clinical and health care service of all Harmony Senior Living communities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Nursing Operations:
Champion the values and culture of Harmony Senior Services while fostering an environment that makes resident and family satisfaction a key focus.
Evaluate clinical operational issues to determine whether HSS is remaining competitive in the market and staying current with the latest trends in senior care delivery.
Serve as an intermediary between the company’s senior management and managers in the field.
Establish clinical initiatives for improvement in delivery of quality care, cost controls, safety, regulatory compliance, and associate relations.
Responsible for meeting the quality of care,, expense management and profit goals for all HSS communities.
Demonstrate knowledge of HSS standard, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and code of ethical behavior.
Financial Management :
Develop long-range goals for HSS that align with the strategic growth plans of the company.
Experience with YARDI EHR Clinical software tool and ability to navigate and utilize to monitor compliance of pricing, care levels, frequency of assessments, etc.
Identify and develop key strategic partnerships that will complement HSS operating model i.e., pharmacy groups, in-home care agencies, hospice providers, skilled nursing organizations, etc.
Prepare and present presentations for various audiences, including executive management team, financial institutions, and managers in the field.
Regulatory Management :
Broad understanding of all local/state/federal regulations and awareness of relevant changes and updates.
Participate in professional/industry organizations to stay abreast of local/state/federal issues/trends.
Assist communities with DSS survey process and participate in plans of correction as needed.
Ensure all HSS communities remain in compliance with all local/state/federal regulations at all times.
Develop, implement and oversee the timely execution of clinical audits no later than 60-days prior to the opening of the survey window for State inspections.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working at an executive level in senior care industry.
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or related health care field, Advanced Degree in healthcare is preferred.
A demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve success through management of others
Ability to analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional level
Ability to assign and delegate work, and evaluate results of performance
Ability to be flexible, travel to various HSS communities, and adapt to constant change in schedule
Ability to effectively communicate with HSS Senior management team, owners, investors, associates, residents and families.
Ability to interact effectively with Regional Director of Clinical Services, Regional Director of Operations and Executive Directors in order to direct work flow, assess performance and assign duties
Ability to develop strategic plans for growth within senior marketplace
Ability to use Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
