The Senior Director, IS Client Delivery Services, Detroit Market will have accountability for the Information Systems customer delivery at Tenet Healthcare Corporationâ��s acute care facilities in their respective geographic locations. The Senior Director, IS Client Delivery Services for the Detroit Market will serve as the liaison between hospital operations, Information Systems and the hospitals, providing strategic leadership to the hospitals, ensuring SLAs and performance expectations are met, heavy focus on vendor and financial management, responsible for controlling IT spend in the market and sponsoring key enterprise-level initiatives in the market. He/she is responsible for customer experience, developing and maintaining market level IS plans, and effectively integrating enterprise level IS plans. This is a key leadership role, with high visibility and impact on the client experience, internal stakeholders, and the overall operational performance of the organization and the spend and demand adjudication between hospital and market.
Other key responsibilities will include the following:
Serving as single point of contact for Hospital Executive leadership.
Advocates on behalf of the hospitals to reduce risk, translate into business impacts and partner to prioritize investments.
Provides comprehensive, succinct updates to Hospital Leadership and operations to drive awareness of any requirements and/or risks that could impact service delivery.
Drives initiatives to reduce IT cost.
Heavy vendor management holding vendors to contractual obligations.
Facilitates demand management process for respective markets.
Partnering with Hospital leaders and Portfolio Owners to govern IT spend in the market.
Works collaboratively to provide value to customers (both hospitals and operations) through business/industry insight and innovation.
Ongoing Client Leadership and Remediation (Issue Resolution). Identifies performance degradation and coordinates with Tenet Client Executive Leader to ensure mitigation.
Provides direction to Market Service Delivery Leaders (MSDL) in service delivery and problem solving to maximize solution offering and client satisfaction.
The Senior Director, IS Client Delivery Services will be responsible for balancing enterprise-wide emphasis on standards and consolidation with truly unique market requirements. Possessing successful negotiation skills within the information system team and with market and operations leaders, the Senior Director will have responsibility for delivering value to the markets.
Further, the Senior Director, IS Client Delivery Services will be responsible for assessing and mitigating IS risks; cultivating operational effectiveness; promoting standardization; closing the gap on the post implementation state; fostering predicable outcomes and service levels; and ensuring compliance all while managing and flexing the spend components to balance needs, wants and urgencies respective of the business strategy and IS necessities. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Background Experience
At least seven years of progressive health IT leadership and experience in complex environments is required.
Demonstrated experience in leading health information technology projects and teams, to support and measure quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, regulatory and/or governmental programs. Experience in infrastructure, service desk and ITSM preferred.
Previous operational and leadership experience in healthcare organizations, demonstrating increasing responsibilities in management of resources and data to deliver outcomes.
Candidate experience should include a balance of clinical knowledge, clinical workflow from nursing to physician and ancillary clinical departments, clinical decision support, strategic and operational planning, and healthcare business experience.
Customer service focus. Proven ability to understand the needs of internal and external customers and to follow-up on commitments.
