The Clinic Manager has day to day responsibility for translating the defined standard of care and desired quality of clinical services into the practices and processes of care provided through the organizations licensed and clinical support staff. The role has responsibility for reflecting client expectations (served EDs, payors and related sites) into their experience through the nature and focus of clinical care provided by BHP. Additionally, the role develops and periodically revises policies and processes that ensure effective hiring, orientation, training, supervision and effective intervention when needed of licensed and clinical support staff to reliably deliver high quality care to patients and consultations to client site providers. The role is responsible for maintaining staffing models that align with approved budgets, anticipated clinical needs and client contractual agreements. This role is part of the clinical leadership team that acts as subject matter experts and information resources for all Clinical Case Reviews and develops strategies that continuously improving the care provided to patients within the scope of practice and care model of BHP. Clinical Management Oversight Effectively translates quality standards of care to processes, training and supervision models. Develops and implements clinical supervision models for all clinical staff ensuring that standards of clinical practice are maintained. Refines and improves clinical and operational processes to ensure that clinical and support staff can provide timely care to patients and communication to care providers. Ensures that BHP clinical and operational tools meet the needs of clinical staff and that tool refinements are designed with clinician input and buy-in. Ensures that BHP training and development efforts are effectively targeting clinical and support staff needs for skill development from new hire orientation through advanced clinical practice. Effectively represents BHP clinical practice operational standards with all departments of BHP and FVHS including representation of the Clinical Director role during absences or as requested. Supervision of Staff Oversight of selection, hiring and performance reviews of clinical and non-clinical staff. Supervises staff, including hiring, orienting, coaching, evaluating and effectively managing performance to ensure staff possess the needed skills to deliver high quality service to customers. Assesses and directs/redirects daily workflow to ensure safety, accuracy and efficiency of work product. Maintains and monitors the productivity level of staff to maximize efficiency and control costs. Manages the staffing schedule to assure adequate staffing levels and approve timecards. Completes timely performance reviews of staff according to policy. Creates and supports a productive team environment through effective communication and availability to team members. Models enthusiasm and dedication to work and tactical objectives. Effective Integration of Licensed and Support Staff Workflows Builds and refines the working roles of the licensed and support staff to optimize the effectiveness and timeliness of the care provided within the parameters of scope of practice and related guidelines; Reviews and refines communication models between licensed and support staff to ensure effective and efficient communication; Provides opportunities for education of support staff to ensure that they have adequate clinical understanding to effectively support clinical care; Reviews telephone call recordings of support staff to ensure quality interactions with patients and others; Develops models for the remote use of support staff by licensed staff in sites without support staffing. Fiscal Resource Management Provides input into budget for assigned area(s) according to established procedures. Utilizes financial resources within an established budget. Maintains appropriate staffing levels as evidenced by budgetary analysis and/or department indicators. Pursues cost savings and methods for revenue generation within area of responsibility. Required
