This role is responsible for supporting Materials Manager in coordinating and supervising warehouse activities in receiving, inventory replenishment, fulfillment, shipping, and delivery on a daily basis. The Materials Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of material handlers, order fillers, receivers, shippers and drivers to achieve established goals.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide engaged leadership to assigned team and coordinate the daily operations (teach/coach/mentor).
Responsible for planning and forecasting activities and develop standard operating procedures, as well as developing and implementing performance measurement and internal auditing programs.
Oversees daily operations to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with parallel work streams to balance staffing due to pending work load and employee fluctuation.
Works with the Materials Manager to ensure that service rendered meets or exceeds customer's expectations.
Assists leadership in the development of new and updated policies and procedures related to Materials Management & logistics strategies.
Assists leadership in the achievement of all quality efforts to maintain inventory integrity and in the efficient management of supplies.
Ensures customer needs are met and service provided is accurate and correct.
Interview prospective employees and recommend hiring disposition.
Train staff on proper equipment usage, including pre, during, and post operation inspections and preventative maintenance.
Establish priorities of work, schedule teams to meet deadlines, review work and conduct quarterly performance evaluations for assigned staff
Makes changes as appropriate and directs workflow between different systems and work groups.
Enforce proper adherence to all OSHA safety rules as outlined, JCAHO, CDC and FDA requirements, and CCHS policies and procedures.
Develop, revise and implement inventory control and supply delivery systems to all user departments.
Validates product flow through STAT warehouse, supervises cycle counts, and provides Quality Assurance inspections on returned stock .
Performs other related duties as required
Full-time- 40 hours weekly - Evening shift position 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
Every other weekend and holiday

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associate Degree or equivalent required. Two years of experience in healthcare Materiel Distribution or equivalent experience
Five years of inventory management, three of which must have been in a lead role
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of inventory control, and material logistics
Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and general management quality control
Knowledge of PMM Materiel Management System or equivalent proficiency in Management Systems
Ability to interact with vendors, nursing staff, Material Distribution team, department managers and other CCHS caregivers
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
