JOB TITLE: IT Project Manager Intermediate, Information Security Office

WORK TYPE: Full Time (1.0 FTE)
Manages Information Security Office (ISO) projects utilizing industry standard best practices and frameworks. Will manager multiple projects concurrently. Works collaboratively with project stakeholders and functional managers to develop project goals and objects, set project timelines, manage change and control scope. Responsible for managing project artifacts. Effectively utilizes project management tools. Leads project team in collaboration with ISO leadership to achieve project goals and objectives on time and within budget. Reports and appropriately escalates project progress, concerns, and issues to project stakeholders and ISO leadership.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Demonstrates ability to successfully lead small to medium sized technology and/or business projects using a standardized methodology.
Demonstrates success leading multiple technology and/or business projects in excess of 48 person-months effort (i.e. 6 FTEs for a duration of 8 months).
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong facilitation and presentation skills, and the ability to bring a project team to consensus on issues. Must be able to communicate difficult/sensitive information in a diplomatic and tactful way.
Demonstrates capability to successfully handle multiple project teams and multiple tasks simultaneously and under strict deadlines.
Demonstrates knowledge of and practical application of formal project management methodologies, including PMI’s PMBOK Guide.
Experience using project management software, including Microsoft Project, is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of formal business analysis methodologies, including IIBA’s BABOK Guide preferred.
Demonstrates a high level of initiative and independences.
Demonstrates experience working in a matrixed environment is required.
Experience in healthcare is preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or Information Systems required.
Minimum four (4) years of experience managing projects, or working on successful information security-related projects is required.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is preferred. Required within one year of employment.
In lieu of degree, minimum of Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) plus six years related IT project management experience required.
