Job Title: Underwriting Coordinator – Geisinger Health Plan Location: Danville, PA Work Type: Full Time
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing direct support for the underwriting and managerial staff. Responsible for data collection, data entry, organization, distribution, file management and other administrative functions, Group Information Card coordination, statistical reporting, auditing functions.
Directly accountable to the Underwriting Manager.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Demonstrates competence in written, oral and electronic communication skills. (interpersonal/communication and technological effectiveness competencies) Demonstrates familiarity with computers, software applications, scanners, copiers and calculators. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Associate degree and minimum two years of experience in healthcare or health insurance required. Minimum three years experience in healthcare or health insurance may substitute for an Associate degree. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is typically performed in an office environment.
