CU Health System is seeking an IT Communications Specialist. The Information Technology (IT) Communications Specialist provides strategic communications counsel to the CIO, ACIO, IT directors, IT managers, and IT project managers and collaborates with corporate communications as needed. Defines the communication and change management strategy for programs or large strategic IT projects. Consults and reviews IT communications to ensure audience, message content and expectations are acceptable. Reports directly to the Project Management Office Director.
Develop Communication Strategies:
Develops and executes communication strategies for all areas of the IT department.
Works with all levels of IT leadership including the CIO, ACIO, CNIO, CMIO, Directors and Managers to ensure that staff are kept informed about IT policy changes, issues that affect them, employee achievements, etc.
Creates and implements communication plans for key technology projects aligned to communications strategy and organizational strategic imperatives.
Deliver IT Communications
Creates informal and formal IT communications, which may include brochures, flyers, posters, news articles, all staff presentations, and Sharepoint/intranet site materials.
Writes articles, involving interviews of all levels of the IT department, and provides the information to readers in an easily understood fashion.
Facilitates approval of all written material from those featured within articles, from immediate supervisors and from directors and/or the CIO, ACIO, CNIO and CMIO.
Determines the need for photographs.
Provides support to the IT leadership team with the presentations as required.
Writes, proofreads and provides content creation on behalf of IT leaders.
Responsible for safeguarding all personal information as required by data privacy laws, company policies and department processes.
Collaborate with Key Stakeholders:
Works independently with team members across the department and collaborates with the corporate communications department.
Coordinates and integrates input from stakeholders to deliver a unified and consistent message to our internal and external team members.
Updates the CIO, ACIO and other IT leaders on the status of communication projects.
Provides counsel, training and assistance that is audience specific.
