Responsible for the thorough and accurate sequencing and coding of diseases and procedures for each patient record through the use of appropriate reference material/tools, posting charges, education and training of physicians and staff.
Responsible for in-depth knowledge and comprehension of surgical specialty your certified/coding.
Participates in ongoing performance improvement activities to evaluate compliance with all coding guidelines.

CPC, CCS, CPC-H, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA
High School Degree equivalent.
2-5 years clinical coding experience (ICD-10, CPT- and HCPCS) or combination of applicable experience and education.
